Navratna Bead Necklace
A wonderfully colourful necklace showcasing the very best of the artisans we are proud to work with in Jaipur, India.
We hope to add more about the craftsmanship and techniques involved in the making of such a necklace in our blog soon!
Material: the necklace is made of 18K gold and the main pendant is set with the traditional mixture of navratna - or nine stone - gemstones. The gemstones included here are diamond, tourmaline, emerald, pearl, sapphire and coral. The setting style is termed as kundan work where foils of gold are moulded around the stone to create individual, asymmetric settings. The chain of the necklace is a mix of gemstone beads including pearl, emerald and ruby. There are also hanging charms on the bead necklace set with ruby and diamond. A ruby cabochon bead and pearls hang from the pendant, at the bottom of it.
Details: the beaded necklace chain is 25" long and there is no clasp - you can just slip it on over your head. The central pendant is 2.5 cm at its widest and longest. Please get in touch if you have any further questions.
