Fine Gold Diamond Paisley Stud Earrings
Katie is greatly inspired by her travels to India and its magnificent tradition of jewellery making. These beautiful earrings feature the intricate craft of kundan setting and have a traditional paisley form. The paisley shape is a classic Indian motif, a tear drop with a pronounced curved end, that traces its origins back to Ancient Babylon and into Western wardrobes via the weavers of Paisley, Scotland.
These diamonds are fashioned in the old, Mughal style of diamond cutting. The diamond gemstones have one flat side and the other loosely faceted, in a style resembling a rose cut.
Materials: the earrings are made of 22 ct gold and are set with diamonds. The total diamond weight is 0.47 ct. The earrings have been hallmarked at the London Assay Office.
Details: The earrings have a post and butterfly fixture and measure 6 x 10 mm at their longest and widest.
