Our jewellery is largely produced in India, and is made in precious metals, either sterling silver or high carat gold [either 18k or 22k]. Products described as ‘gold plate' are sterling silver with an 18K gold plate, to a thickness of 2 microns. Pomegranate is registered for hallmarking with the London Assay Office.
We use a wide range of gemstones in our products and have worked closely with our trusted stone dealers for many years. If, on the rare occasion, we use artificial stones in our designs, we will make this clear in the product description. Katie is GIA trained and is a graduate gemologist.
We work face-to-face with our workshops in India and therefore know our supply chain well and are mindful of responsible work practices throughout.
Pomegranate is a member of the British Association of Jewellers and we are bound by their code of ethics.
Photography on this site
Whilst we are confident that the photography on our website is accurate and representative of our jewellery, variations between different computer or device screens as well as the natural variations of coloured gemstones, may result in slight differences between the images on our website and our jewellery in real life.
We are happy to answer any questions on the materials we use or the stones we incorporate in our designs, and any known stone treatments that have been employed. We believe in clear disclosure and will always do so to the best of our professional knowledge.
