Every Pomegranate piece begins with a gemstone. A tourmaline in an unexpected shade, a luminous cabochon sapphire, a vivid piece of Iranian turquoise. Since 2003, designer and trained gemologist Katie has been sourcing stones like these and working with the same trusted artisans in Jaipur to craft her designs by hand, using skills passed down through generations.

Gemstones

Katie studied at the GIA and is a proud Graduate Gemologist. With 25 years of experience of buying gemstones first hand in Jaipur, her expertise and eye ensure the quality & diveristy of the gemstones we incorporate into our designs. We work with a glorious array of natural gemstones only.


Gold & Silver

Our jewellery is created in precious metals only, either sterling silver or 18 ct gold. Hallmarking is one of the oldest forms of consumer protection and we have been registered at the London Assay Office since we opened in 2008.

India & Ethical Business

We work face-to-face with our workshops in India and, after 25 years, know our supply chain well and consider them more family than colleagues.

We are mindful of responsible work practices throughout all parts of our business.

Pomegranate is a member of the National Association of Jewellers and we are bound by their code of ethics.

Traditional Indian jewellery craftsmanship sits at the heart of our business: enamel 'mina' work, jadau setting, carved gemstones & kundan setting are to name but a few of the things that inspire and define our collections.
