For over twenty years, Katie has been sourcing extraordinary stones and crafting them into pieces made to be worn for a lifetime. Travelling, selecting, designing and working closely with skilled artisans in Jaipur using techniques passed down through generations. That's what Pomegranate does and it's all we've ever done.
The market has changed enormously since we opened our shop. There's more choice than ever before, but it has become harder to find pieces that are both unique and authentic. Made by skilled hands, from precious materials, with a real person behind every decision and passion poured into every piece.
It felt like the right moment to be very clear about who we are and what we really do. We've relaunched the Pomegranate website, and while the new look is something we're genuinely proud of, it's about so much more than that.
What we wanted was a site that tells our story properly.
The gemstones Katie has been sourcing since 2003, the artisan workshops in Jaipur where our pieces are made by hand using techniques passed down through generations, the shop on Kensington Square that has been home to Pomegranate since 2008. The precious metals, hallmarked by the London Assay Office. The stones, assessed by Katie, a trained gemologist with over two decades of experience.
Alongside the new look, we've also added some extraordinary new pieces, and for the most special among them, something we're calling a Note from Katie.
It's exactly what it sounds like, a few lines from Katie about why a particular piece caught her eye, what makes the stone unusual, or what went into the design or particular way it was set. Not every piece needs one, but some deserve more than just a description.
