Pomegranate Support Shanti Bhavan Children's Project

When Katie was approached by Giulia Barresi Dubey from the UK Chapter for Shanti Bhavan, despite the charity being new to her, she didn't need much convincing to support them.

Katie said:

"Shanti Bhavan Children's Project is exactly the kind of thing that we like to be involved in as being able to give back is so important to Pomegranate."

Shanti Bhavan Children's Project enables young people to get the eduction they need and deserve is of vital importance, particularly for those from the disadvantaged backgrounds that form the student group at Shanti Bhavan. 

We donated one of our Iona Fine Gold Necklaces to the silent auction held at the event, and the proceeds from this will help sponsor a child through a year at Shanti Bhavan.   

Katie continues;

"At the event itself we heard from two Shanti Bhavan Alumni who shared their journeys to the successful, professional positions they now find themselves in and both Manjula & Vinceya are an absolute inspiration.   

Supporters from all walks of life gathered at the event at The House of Lords and each of us had our own special reason for being there and yet shared a common belief in Shanti Bhavan’s mission. 

It was a thought provoking and inspiring evening I'm delighted to have been a part of."
