Description

The golden, round beads used in this necklace are filled with wax to make them lightweight and then covered in silver or gold.  This type of bead is traditionally worn in Maharashtra and North Karnataka and they are prized heirlooms.   In this design I have interspersed these gold beads with colourful jadau work beads, set with rubies, emeralds and other beautiful coloured gemstones.

Designer Katie says:  "These beads have been waiting to be used for a while and have found expression, finally this year, in these super-long necklaces.  Stunning, each piece is unique and knotted with golden thread."

Ellie wears this necklace with a couple of our other Long Golden Bead Necklaces.

Materials: the beads in this necklace are made of gold plated sterling silver and the ornate beads are set with emeralds, rubies, pearl & turquoise gemstones.   The beads are knotted together with gold-coloured silk thread.

Details: the necklace is 124 cm long and has no clasp.  It is long enough to be wrapped twice around.

Packaging Information: all our products come beautifully packaged and you can select your packaging preference at checkout and additionally let us know of any other requirements you may have.  A care card is included with each purchase also.
Delivery & Returns

UK Shipping

We charge £10 to ship all parcel within the UK. All parcels are sent out by Royal Mail Special Delivery.  This is the only postal service in the UK that insures jewellery and we have found it extremely reliable over the years.

You will need to be at home to receive the parcel via special delivery and all tracking details will be given to you so you can monitor this.

The shop is open from Tuesday to Saturday so if you place an order on Saturday, the earliest your parcel will be posted out is on Tuesday for delivery on Wednesday.

International Shipping

We charge £20 for all deliveries outside the UK.

We generally send these parcel via UPS and you can certainly let us know if you would prefer an alternative courier.

Expected delivery time can be up to 10 working days for international orders and we will give you the relevant tracking information to monitor this.

All sales made through the website for international orders are net of VAT.  You will however be liable for all your local duty and taxes and will need to pay these to the courier before you can receive your parcel. These are usually at least 20% of the parcel value.

Questions about sizing?

The sizing for all products should be detailed in the product description tab and if you are unsure or need further help, please get in touch. We are more than happy to Whatsapp you a video of the item to help you understand its relative size.

What is your return policy?
Returns

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to return your order, or part of your order.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging.

Returns are posted back to us at your own expense and we recommend you send goods back recorded or tracked post to be on the safe side. Once the order is received, your refund will be processed and you will receive an email confirming this.
